I so much like DVD and blue Ray protection... For DVD, I live in Region 4 (Fiji), but I'm French region 2, and have some Hindi movies region 3 (half of the population here speaks Hindi), but can only order my movies from the US region 1. How many decks do I need?

Another issue which is related, iTunes requires you to have a French issued credit card to buy from the French iTune store, but I 'd like to get my app/music from the US iTune store too as not everything is available on the French iTune store. Are Majors dictating what culture should I have?

Finally, on piracy (if they really want to know what piracy means, go sail close to Somalia coast), I think they should have seen it coming... They go and get the CD/DVDs manufactured in countries with no copyright because it is cheaper and they wonder why there are immediate copies on the market? Please....

You can't consider half of the population as criminals, the kids today will become adult with voting power, they'll remember how they were treated.

I was actually struck by the similarity between the analog hole recording and AT&T's attempts to fight the Carterfone (elaborated on at my blog, if you're not familiar with it: http://austinmills.name/?p=63 ). Once you've agreed that something should be possible, trying to fight it technically just makes you seem silly.
