		<description>A bit off topic. If cable TV or digital tv subscribers are paying for the TV programs, shouldnt they be offered a choice of advertising to put up with?

The quality of most ads and indeed their content is pretty bad. I dont think I should be subjected to pathetic ads if I'm paying for legal content.

I think like the email newsletters to which you subscribe/unsubscribe, even TV ads have to be enabled by the consumer/viewer.

I'd rather watch 1 good commercial than 10 bad ones.

While internet laws have made it mandatory to have an unsubscribe link at the end of every newsletter TV viewers havent thought of that angle yet.
